Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - 6.18 Inquisition

Deputy Director Sloan of Starfleet Internal Affairs comes to the station to investigate Julian Bashir with the suspicion that Bashir was turned into a Dominion spy during his time at the Dominion prison camp.

I've always enjoyed watching guest star William Sadler (Sloan) work. I enjoyed this episode and didn't mind the "it was only the holo-suite" plot component" which usually bothers me as a weak writing.

This episode set into motion the interesting Section 31 plot line. An independent Starfleet intelligence branch, dating back to the original Starfleet Charter, explains how the Federation managed to survive in the Alpha quadrant without a known shadow/black intelligence organization while surrounded by the likes of the Cardassians and Romulans which otherwise seemed like a miracle.

Eight space stations out of ten.
