Stargate SG-1 - 10.09 Company of Thieves

SG-1 must rely on Vala to provide transportation to investigate the condition of Odyssey after it is lured to a minefield with Colonel Carter aboard.

I sort of lost track of the episode half way through and was rather confused by Daniel being in command of the Odyssey's bridge towards the end.

Stargate Atlantis - 1.18 The Gift

The residents of Atlantis prepare for the Wraith assault and Teyla suffers nightmares.

I found the therapy sessions rather boring, but I usually do. I liked the disagreement between the scientist and soldiers about the prospects of holding the city

Stargate Atlantis - 1.10 The Storm

A massive hurricane approaches Atlantis, triggering an evacuation.

I missed this one the first time through. I think I may understand the next episode better now.

Stargate SG-1 - 8.06 Avatar

Teal'c becomes trapped in a training scenario simulation chair.

I got bored of the repeated scenario by the second time through.

Stargate SG-1 - 6.22 Full Circle

Daniel warns O'Neill of an impending attack by Anubis on Abydos, to find the eye of Ra.

The end was a bit of a let down, but otherwise a good episode. I just hope Daniel is back next season.

Stargate SG-1 - 1.21 Politics

A Senator visits the facility with the intent on closing the Stargate project.

It was Senator Kinsey, chairman of appropriations committee.

There was lots of arguing around tables and use of clips from old episodes which could be helpful to someone who missed the first few episodes, but rather boring to watch, It was a long  set up for a season finale, especially when I believed from the start that the senator would change his mind, via something happening. Basically low budget filler.

Stargate SG-1 - 1.20 There but for the Grace of God

Daniel ends up on alternate Earth where he refused to joined SG-1 and the Earth is under attack by the Goa'uld.

Sam and Jack were engaged in the alternate environment. The mirror device's resemble to the gateway in Star Trek's "The City on the edge of Forever" seems more than coincidental. The writers may have over-used the ability to kill series regulars in the alternate reality, as this one turned into a bloodbath.

Stargate Universe - 1.18 Subversion

Colonel Young interrogates Colonel Telford aboard the Destiny as a possible Lucian Alliance mole while Doctor Rush attempts to infiltrates the Lucian Alliance by imitating Telford on Earth.

An interesting episode but still rather confusing to a Stargate newbie. Before the start of SGU, I had little experience with the franchise. I had just seen the movie and tried to watch a couple of episodes of Stargate: Atlantis but I kept feeling like I really needed to have watched SG-1 and was bored by it. Sort of the way I feel about SGU. The writers seemed to have squandered the chance to explain the show and technology through the eyes of one of the civilians and instead I'm having problems following the conflicts within the universe, such as the Lucian Alliance. I really wish I at least liked one of the characters. I'm also finding the baby story line rather boring and apparently pointless.

Poor Rush is going to be sore, no matter which body he's in.

Stargate SG-1 - 1.19 Tin Man

After returning from an advanced world whose lone survivor claims to have made them "better", the team discovers that their consciousnesses have apparently apparently been transferred to robotic bodies.

The not so surprising resolution of them having been copied, not transferred, leaves the sticky question of what happened to copies of O'Neill, Sam and Daniel once the originals left. O'Neil spends most of the episode annoyed which isn't as entertaining as the writer intended.

Stargate SG-1 - 1.18 Solitudes

Carter ends up stranded on an icy world with an injured O'Neill after a gate malfunction.

Really liked that it turned out to be an abandoned, older gate on Earth in Antarctica. It would have been rather ironic for them to die stranded there, only to be discovered years later after global warming had made Antarctica more accessible.

Can a helicopter actually function in Antarctic conditions?

I actually rather liked this episode.

Stargate SG-1 - 1.17 Enigma

I rather liked this episode. I found the rescue of survivors of an advanced human civilization, that may have skipped the dark ages, an interesting idea.

Stargate SG-1 - 1.16 Cor'ai

This is my first time through this series and I just started with the previous episode. The episode offered an interesting opportunity to see the differences in perspectives, approaches and problem solving techniques between Daniel, O'Neill and Sam. I have yet to see an episode that would have hooked me as a viewer.
