Supernatural - What's Wrong With Sam?

The below is all speculation.

I rather liked the "Sam is still Lucifer's Vesel" theory until the "Third Man" episode as I think Castiel would mention that to Dean, no matter how rusty his people skills are, especially given Cass' position on resuming the path to Armageddon.

I'm assuming Sam is Sam, otherwise this whole season is rather a cheat.

1.Sam hurt/abandoned/killed Adam while in the cage, possibly to earn his release. The guilt is eating him alive and he can't confess to anyone, particularly not Samuel and Dean as both would find hurting family extremely abhorrent, especially Dean in the context of Sam hurting their younger brother. Sam is once again intent on becoming the best hunter in the world in act of penance. (His current behavior, including the obsession with hunting and willingness to sacrifice people, is rather similar to his behavior in "Mystery Spot" after Dean's final death). Sam is subconsciously hurting Dean because of his presumed inability to forgive Sam the unforgivable.

2. Through a Hell time paradox (time works different down there), Sam was one of the souls or the only soul Dean tortured on the rack. Explains why Sam didn't want Dean around and is willing to risk Dean's life so casually. Would explain Sam's personality issues around Dean and why he spilled the beans to the Campbells about Dean being a torturer in Hell.

3. Sam still has "demon vision" from the pit and Dean is at least partially, if not completely, a demon. Explains why Sam didn't want Dean around and is willing to risk Dean's life so casually.

4. 2 & 3

5. Dean never made it out of Hell.

6. Dean's been in a psychiatric hospital since Sam died in season 2.

7. End of the series reveals it was all Dean's hallucinations since John left him alone and he went off his meds.

8. Dean's been catatonic or suffering delusions since Mary or Sam died in a house fire Dean lit when he was four.

Star Trek: The Next Generation - 4.03 Brothers

Data takes control of the Enterprise, to met Doctor Soong, his creator, while it is on an emergency trip to a starbase to save the life of one of it's crew member's children.

Soong had designed a basic emotion chip for Data which Lore tricks Soong into installing the chip into himself.

This episode was an interesting backfill of character history and it was rather frightening to see what Data is capable of.

Notes
Data can perfectly mimic Captain Picard's voice.

Data mets his creator, Doctor Noonian Soong and Lore joins the pair. Soong survived the attack of the crystalline entity. Soong is dying. Soong has humanoid skeletons and apparent dinosaurs.

Data was created after Lore and has complete free will. Soong hoped Data had become a cybernetist. Soong had intended to fix Lore and says the only difference between the two is a bit of programming

The Vampire Diaries - 2.01 The Return

Bonnie And Elena decide to take up Damien on his offer to save Caroline by giving her some of his blood to heal her.

Back to Mystic Falls. When is Tyler going to be revealed as a werewolf? Stephan is an effective tortured when he needs to be. Bonnie can now cause pain to vampires, but Catherine is old enough to shrug it off. No rules is Catherine's motto. So is Mason also a werewolf? John actually leaves town. So Caroline is the big loser here. Hopefully the dieing cures Jeremy of his suicidal tendencies and vampiric ambitions.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - 6.19 In The Pale Moonlight

Sisko attempts to bring the Romulans into the Federation conflict with the Dominion.

Sisko instigates a operation to make it look like the Dominion is planning on invading Romulus. I enjoyed the story of Sisko's journey to committing a series of crimes and a major fraud. That Sisko's plan failed but Garak's didn't was a good plot twist. Garak, with all his flaws, and perhaps because of them, was able to do what was necessary to bring the Romulans in by assassinating the Senator and forger. I really liked the fact that the plan succeeded and this is all guilt over the methods and the admission that he could live with it and would do it all again drove that point home.

Supernatural - 6.01 Exile on Main Street

A year later, Dean is still living with Lisa and Ben when he begins to suspect something strange is going on in his neighbourhood.

First off, a disclaimer: I'm a Dean girl which is rather odd as all logic says a should be a Sam girl.

Which of those tests Sam did on himself eliminated an archangel? I think some holy oil action was called for just to be sure Lucifer wasn't on board. Has anybody tested Gramps?

What were Sam and Bobby thinking letting Dean stay with Lisa and Ben for almost a year? How wasn't that doing more harm than good for everyone involved? Sam, come on, you know how messed you were when Dean was in Hell, so why would you think it would be better for your brother who sold his soul to get you back from the dead? I'm starting to suspect Dean is the smarter Winchester.

So what was with Gramps capturing the Djinn instead of killing it? Is he experimenting on creatures or letting them go?

As for the episode, I didn't like it as much or felt it had the same amount of visual or emotional impact as "Lazarus Rising."

Sanctuary - 1.10 Warriors

Will investigates the disappearance of his friend Danny and Helen's father surfaces.

The scene were Will tears off his shirt and is left in jeans brought to mind bad Incredible Hulk comparisons. Getting more background on Helen and her family was interesting, but the hulked out fighting abnormals storyline was boring.

Notes
The Cabal is using fights to test meta-humans for the Cleansing. Charlie calls a female member of the Cabal and gives a report. Fight Abnormals were controlled by scarab, an insect like creature in muscles at base of brain, and  juiced into abnormality. Fight promoter is a Cabal worker.

Helen's father, Gregory Magnus, doesn't remember her and claims to be Charles L. Denton and suffers from blackouts.Gregory was born in 1829 in Devonshire. His wife was Patricia Heathering, He was a brilliant scientist and  disappeared on trip to Mecca. He created a strain of abnormals similar to the photos from the fight.  They were hyper-aggressive had to be destroyed. The Sanctuary's Lab based on his design. Gregory regains his memory when the scarab is removed and leaves to protect Helen.

House - 7.02 Selfish

House and the team investigate a female, fourteen-year-old skateboarder with a heart arrhythmia while Cuddy and House report their relationship to Human Resources.

Liked the father and son both trying to get the 102-year-old father into a nursing home. The scene where Hugo gives his lung to his sister was rather touching.

House - 7.03 Unwritten

The team investigates a popular children's author who suffered a seizure while committing suicide. Cuddy, House, Wilson and Sam go on a double date.

Rather liked that House is starting to change and was able to restrain himself from telling the author the truth about her son's death. It was also nice to see House and Cuddy start to deal with their complicated work and personal relationships.

Star Trek: The Next Generation - 4.02 Family

While the Enterprise is undergoing repairs at Earth, Worf is visited by his parents and Picard visits his brother and considers a job offer on Earth. Beverly decides to finally give Wesley a recording from his father.

A couple of things bothered me in this episode. Weird, tiny rolls being used as suitcases bother me, unless like the Doctor's TARDIS, they are bigger on the inside. Why does Picard's family have no French accent?

An interesting character piece that allowed some the character to deal with their issues but rather dull and inconsequential.
