Stargate SG-1 - 1.20 There but for the Grace of God

Daniel ends up on alternate Earth where he refused to joined SG-1 and the Earth is under attack by the Goa'uld.

Sam and Jack were engaged in the alternate environment. The mirror device's resemble to the gateway in Star Trek's "The City on the edge of Forever" seems more than coincidental. The writers may have over-used the ability to kill series regulars in the alternate reality, as this one turned into a bloodbath.

Day of the Triffids (2009) - Part 1

Killer carnivorous plants are unleashed on a predominately blind world.

Really, how could Jo function as a journalist of any kind if she couldn't spot a con artist like Torrence? I know I read this sometime in school but I really don't remember much about it. It was interesting enough that I'll tune in to see the rest.
